What makes it deep

A deep clean is a reset. It covers everything in a standard visit and then goes after the build-up that accumulates slowly enough that you stop noticing it: the grey line along the baseboards, the film on the blinds, the grease on top of the cabinets, the grout that has gone from white to beige.

On top of the standard list: baseboards hand-wiped throughout, door frames and trim, blinds cleaned slat by slat, ceiling fan blades, air vent covers, light fixtures, window interiors and sills, window and slider tracks cleared out, switch plates, behind and beneath movable furniture.

Kitchen: inside the oven, inside the refrigerator, inside and on top of cabinets, degreasing the range hood and backsplash, small appliances, inside the microwave, the seal around the dishwasher.

Bathrooms: grout scrubbed, soap scum and hard-water deposits off shower glass and tile, shower head and track, around and behind the toilet base, inside vanity drawers and cabinets, exhaust fan cover.

When you need one

Three situations, almost always. Nobody has cleaned the home professionally in the last few months, and it needs a starting point before recurring visits can hold it. Or a season has gone by — in south Dade, after the summer humidity and again after the dry-season dust, twice a year keeps a home from ever getting away from you. Or something specific: before guests arrive for the holidays, after a renovation, after an illness in the house, before putting the property on the market.

Why the dust here makes this matter more

Homes in Homestead, Florida City and the Redland edge collect agricultural dust from the groves and fields west of Krome faster than homes further north. It settles into blinds, screens, tracks and fan blades — exactly the surfaces a standard visit does not have time for. Left alone for a year it stops being dust and becomes a film that needs scrubbing. A deep clean twice a year is the difference between maintaining a home and periodically rescuing it.

Closer to the water in Cutler Bay the problem is salt rather than dust: haze on glass and grit packed into slider tracks. Same principle, different product.

How long it takes

A two-bedroom usually runs three to four hours with a crew of two. A four-bedroom is most of a day. We would rather quote honestly and take the time than promise two hours and rush the parts that matter.
